The Newtons: 1.1

"I hope you guys have a good day at school today," Jocelyn, The Dowager Baroness of Rutherglen, said to her children before school. "I'm sure you'll make lots of friends!"

From left to right: The Honourable Calista Callaway, The Honourable Patrick Callaway, Percy Callaway, Baron Rutherglen and his mother, the Dowager Baron Rutherglen.

Jocelyn had a secret! After her kids went off to school, she called John, Earl of Northwich, over. Ever since he had attended her wedding to Baron Rutherglen, they'd been having an affair.

Like all of the noble children of the realm, Calista, Percy, and Patrick all attended private school.

You can just see Calista behind Patrick.

Percy looking sharp in his uniform.

Jocelyn had to admit the truth to herself: she was pregnant. She told her father, who congratulated her on her affair baby rather sarcastically.

After school, it was time for the twins to do their homework.

Ir wasn't long before Jocelyn started to show.

One morning after Jocelyn woke up, she felt her labor pains begin.

Soon she gave birth to a son, Gabriel Callaway-Norman.

Jocelyn wasn't the only one in the household, though. Her father, Roger, who was Earl of Hilford, had proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Ivy Copur. After the wedding, she would be the new Countess of Hilford.

They got married in a quiet backyard ceremony.

(For someone who just had a baby out of wedlock, Jocelyn has some nerve to make that face!)

Since the twins had gone off to school, the house was quieter now. Would it hear the pitter-patter of little feet again once Percy came home from college and accepted his birthright to be the next Earl of Hilford?
