"If you don't study hard and do your homework, you won't get anywhere in life," Cicely, Countess of Northwich told her son, Hugh, the Viscount of Swinford, as she helped him do his schoolwork. "It's so important to get good grades and go to a good college so you can get far in life."

"Yes, mom," Hugh said, focusing on his work.

Miles, Marquess of Tenbigh, was lonely. Like most families of Oscania who had lost a family member to the Great Sickness, he had lost his wife, Delilah. He missed her terribly, but knew that his time on earth was coming to and end, and he did not want to spend it alone. He was making friends with Cheryl, a woman he had seen walking by.

Perhaps because it was because he had been alone for so long, but he felt himelf falling for her quickly.

Before long, Miles and Cheryl were inseparable.

Miles did not care if he was moving things along quicker than normal. Time on Earth was fleeting, and one had to make the best of it.

"Cheryl, my darling, I know we've spent a lot of time together recently. Will you move in with me?" Miles asked her one day.

"Of course!" she said, and the two hugged.

It wasn't long after that that Miles proposed to Cheryl.

"Will you make me the happiest man on Earth and be my wife, Cheryl?" Miles asked.

"Of course!" she told him.

"I think you're being ridiculous, Father," John, the Earl of Northwich, shouted. "You barely even know this woman! How could you propose to her?"

"It is my life, John," Miles shouted back. "I am marrying her whether you agree or not, like it or not."

"Fine," John shouted and walked away. How could his father be so reckless?

During all this, John--the future Marquess of Tenbigh and current Earl of Northwich-and Cicely's younger son, Ian, had become a child, and enjoyed spending time with his older brother, Hugh, who would one day inherit his grandfather and father's marquessate.

Left: Hugh, Viscount Swinford, and his brother Ian, Lord Norton.

"God, you're hot," John smiled as he watched his pregnant wife.  Despite his annoyance at his father's seemingly hasty wedding, he was thrilled over his wife's third pregnancy.

Soon it was time for Miles to wed. Cheryl was both excited and nervous about becoming the Marquess's wife and being a Marchioness. It had all happened so fast. While Cicely and her two sons were there, John had refused to attend.

Despite being close to her due date, Cicely always found time to hang out with her son Hugh.

Soon Cicely wasn't the only one pregnant. Cheryl was expecting.

One morning as Cicely took the trash out, she felt the familiar pains of labor. She soon delivered a little boy they named Jacob.

The Earl and Countess of Northwich welcome the birth of their third son, The Honourable Jacob Norman.

Soon after, Cheryl, the new Marchioness of Tenbigh, gave birth as well.

Cheryl, Marchioness of Tenbigh, and her daughter, Lady Rose Norman.

Despite the way his son had disapproved of his marriage, Miles was happy. He had a healthy baby girl and a new grandson.  What else would the future bring?
