 Bates Update 2 

Ugh, you'd think for a celebrity chief he wouldn't burn the lobster! Lucy thought as she suppressed a gag. Leave it to my husband to mess this up. 

 One dinner had been cleaned up, the family retired to the kitchen to celebrate two birthdays: Payton was becoming an elder, and Eric a toddler. 

Before long, Lucy realized she was pregnant once again. 

I hope it's a girl, Lucy mused to herself. One of each would be fine. Elsewhere in the house, Fitz was teaching Eric how to talk. 

Fitz looks so handsome in his celebrity chef uniform as he goes off to work.

Lucy loved her son very much and spent her time teaching him to walk...

...and playing peek a boo with him. 

After finishing Lucy's portrait, it takes its place on the Wall of Heirs and their Spouses.

So this sim--Brittany--has been obsessed with Fitz since he went downtown in college. She calls him all the time. I invited her over to satisfy his "invite someone over" want and she fell in love almost immediately.

Fitz, of course, laid his charm on her.

 

Before long, Lucy went into labor and gave birth to a girl they named Jasmine (this generations' theme is "Disney characters") who had her grandpa's black hair and mom's brown eyes.

Fitz adored his baby girl. 

The years passed and soon enough Eric was in school. Lucy, of course, took the time to help her son with his homework.

Jasmine, of course, was learning how to walk. 

Not long after, it was time for Jasmine to grow up.

Like her grandmother before her, Jasmine loved to pretend she was a pirate sailing the high seas.

(I love this so much lmao)

Jasmine also inherited her mean streak from her mother....

...but who could stay mad at that face? 

Poor Payton got beamed by his daughter-in-law, too.

Eric became a teen. 

(that jawline!)

I have zero idea why Lucy and Emily didn't get along. They were always fighting! 

And I do mean ALWAYS fighting! 

In spite of all the chaos, Eric found time to find romance with a classmate named Sophie. 

Despite Jasmine's meanness, she did have a soft side. 

Jasmine and Eric have a snowball fight outside.

Soon it was time for Jasmine to grow up.

Unfortunately, it was time for Payton to pass on.
