....REALLY gets to know him.
After a visit downtown, Emily met Payton GilsCarbo and they soon got married. They had one son, Fitzgerald.
Emily and Payton enjoy a breakfast of toaster pastries in their dining room.
While Emily lounges on the deck chair, Payton teaches Fitz how to do homework.
Before long, it was time to send Fitz off to college. As the GilsCarbos' only son, it was hard for Emily for let go of her only son.
Fitz's lifetime goal was to be a celebrity chef, so he knew that art would be the perfect major for him. While Fitz casually dated, there was only one woman he truly wanted: the family's maid, Lucy Hanby. But he couldn't stand her; out of the blue one day she had picked a fight with him, making him furious. So why was he so attracted to her?
Despite his dislike for her, he found himself to be continually drawn to her, and she seemed to reciprocate his feelings.
As Fitz went through college, his and Lucy's relationship continued to deepen.
While Fitz became more seriously interested in Lucy, he joined the Urele-Oresha-Cham Fraternity and the Landgraab Secret Society, becoming the Big Man on Campus.
Of course, he still had time to study....
....and rock out on his guitar.
He still incredibly disliked Lucy, so why was he in love with her?
It wasn't long before Fitz had to admit to himself that Lucy was the only woman he wanted to spend his life with, so at the beginning of his junior year, Fitz proposed to Lucy. She, of course, accepted.
Once Fitz graduated, Lucy moved in and the two got married at his childhood home.
After the wedding, the family sat down to enjoy some wedding cake.
Not long after the wedding, Lucy gave birth to a son that they named Eric. Fitz, however, was less than impressed.

Once Eric had gone down for a nap, the adults sat down to an early breakfast.

Despite the years, Payton was still very much in love with his wife.
As she walked to work, Lucy couldn't help but think how far she'd come: from maid to International Corporate Lawyer in addition to wife and mother. What else did the future have in store for her?
